Congratulations to David Barrie, who completed the 2009 Marathon Run for Sick Kids

This is what David had to say:

I finished the marathon in a time of 3hours and 37 minutes which I was pleased about but the last 10km (about 6 miles) were definitely the hardest mental or physical thing I've ever had to do. However I managed to raise over $1,700 for Toronto Sick Kids Hospital so well worth the pain

If you enter my last name my race results will come up...if you then click on the photograph section you can then view the photos taken from photographers on the course.....as you can see the photographs taken when I'm near the finish line show a little bit of pain. I've also attached some photos that Sonya took - some after the race and a well earned beer to celebrate all of my hard work......
 
Hoping to keep the training up and run either the Pittsburgh marathon on May 2 or the Ottawa marathon May 29 to try and beat my time.
 
Overall I finished 430 out of nearly 2,000 runners which isn't bad. Once again thanks for all your donations and if I don't see you enjoy the off season.
