SCARBOROUGH MOURNS A COLLEAGUE

AND A FRIEND

It is with great sadness that I have to inform our Branch members of the passing of our Education Officer and colleague Basil Gill  on Sunday morning

Basil was not feeling well and had to be taken to the hospital on Friday night and passed away on Sunday morning November 21st at 1:30 AM

Basil was an asset not only to our Branch in Scarborough but to the Soccer Community in general.

He will be sadly missed by all of us, colleagues and friends alike.

A  service will be held on November 30th 9:30 AM at Griffin Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East

Dress Code for Scarborough Referees is to have the OSRA referees badge prominently displayed on your shirt or jacket, as you can see from

the picture, Basil always wore the OSRA badge with tremendous pride

Family Information:

My father did not want visitations. He just wanted to be cremated and his ashes included in the service. We will probably have a post service, informal  "mingle" afterwards

In lieu of flowers, Basil would want donations to be made to a youth organization. Scarborough will be establishing shortly what would be best suited with regards to donation to youth organization
